Juarez Park



It is located in the   downtown Xalapa, Enriquez and Zamora street .

It has green areas, fountains and food stands.

Area dedicated to presenting plays, musical events, clown shows, has a viewpoint.


In the years sixty, Parque Juarez, was the convent of San Francisco

Some citizens believe that is still hidden under the park some tunnels of the monastery.



In the eighties of the nineteenth century, given ordered to demolish the ruins, starts the construction of the park.

The governor, Leandro Alcolea, juarez park opens to visitors on September 16, 1892

Today, visitors to the Juarez Park enjoy their freshness, their pigeons around, streetvendors, shoeshine boys and old photographers with cameras, which offer thememory of a pleasant stay in this beautiful city.



From this beautiful park we get a nice view of  xalapa
